This program prepares you for a career in the criminal and juvenile justice systems. You may, after meeting civil service requirements, choose to enter law enforcement, investigation, crime prevention and corrections on the federal, state and local level. Opportunities for employment in private organizations are also available.
Some graduates continue their education in pursuit of bachelor's degree and beyond, while others enter the workforce immediately following completion of the program.
This three-day intensive summer program, which is offered prior to freshman year, gives students accepted into the program a foundation for college success. The program offers activities which focus on study techniques, academic planning, self-advocacy skills, and building peer relationships and support. You will also get the opportunity to meet faculty members and academic coaches.
More than 3,000 graduates of this program are employed in criminal justice agencies throughout the country. Graduates include active law enforcement professionals at all levels of service - local, state and federal.
