Head Start Programs

The Office of Community Education offers two academic preparation programs – Head Start on Math and Head Start on Writing. The workshops are aimed at preparing incoming college freshmen with skills to take on college-level courses.

Head Start on Math

This program is for students who want to brush up on their math skills and learn about the college and its academic support resources. Head Start on Math gives students the opportunity to work on basic math skills and get a “head start” on preparedness for Basic Math (MATH 095) and Elementary Algebra (MATH 099). Students will be more confident navigating the campus and understanding the learning resources we offer.
