College in the High School
High school juniors and seniors in the Capital Region and throughout New York state can register to take college-level courses through the College in the High School program.
These courses give students an opportunity to experience a college-level course while still in high school and receive college credit.
Credits can be applied to Hudson Valley Community College programs or transferred to most four-year colleges and universities. Depending on the school, students may be able to transfer up to 15 credits or more.

In June 2019, the College in the High School program was reaccredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP), a national body that oversees concurrent enrollment programs between institutions of higher education and high schools.

“After my first year at UAlbany, I was already considered a junior because of all the credits that I earned in high school.”
