The Criminal Justice A.S. program is designed to prepare students to transfer into a Criminal Justice bachelor's degree program. The program is writing and research intensive and parallels the first two years of a four-year Criminal Justice program.
This is the primary program for students who plan to complete a rigorous two-year study in Criminal Justice at Hudson Valley and then continue their education at the baccalaureate level and beyond.
The college also offers a Criminal Justice A.A.S. program. Contact the department to speak with an advisor about which degree program is right for you.
This three-day intensive summer program, which is offered prior to freshman year, gives students accepted into the program a foundation for college success. The program offers activities which focus on study techniques, academic planning, self-advocacy skills, and building peer relationships and support. You will also get the opportunity to meet faculty members and academic coaches.
More than 3,000 graduates of this program are employed in criminal justice agencies throughout the country. Graduates include active law enforcement professionals at all levels of service - local, state and federal.
