This program is designed for those who wish to pursue advanced degrees in Physics, Chemistry or Earth Science. The curriculum offers core courses in the physical sciences as well as additional electives that meet general education requirements for the liberal arts in preparation for transfer to a four-year college or university.
Following the core curriculum in their first year, students may pursue a concentration in Chemistry, Physics or Earth Science during their second year.
Physical Sciences is designed as a transfer program toward an advanced degree. Graduates are able to use the coursework from this program to enter bachelor degree programs in physics, astronomy, chemistry, biochemistry, atmospheric science, meteorology and geology.
This program is offered by the Biology, Chemistry and Physics Department.
