Physical Sciences Earth Science Track (AS)
The Earth Science track of the Physical Sciences A.S. program is designed to prepare students for further study in geology, meteorology or astronomy as well as accommodate students who might want to pursue their teaching certification in Earth Science.
Graduates may pursue bachelor's degree programs in education, earth science, or a number of related fields.
Many of the degree's courses are taught in the Science Center, which includes 25 state-of-the-art laboratories and a Science Study Center.
This program is offered by the Biology, Chemistry and Physics Department.

After completing an advanced degree, graduates can pursue a wide variety of careers in fields related to the physical sciences.

Here are median salaries taken from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (as of 2017): Chemists and Materials Scientists, $106,240; Geoscientists, $66,610; Physical Scientist, $97,130. Advanced degrees may be required.

Recent graduates have continued their education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and The University at Albany.
