This degree program will prepare you to enter the workforce as an automotive technician with an emphasis on electric and autonomous vehicles.

In this program, you will acquire a broad base of knowledge that spans both the basics of automotive repair and the specifics of diagnosing and repairing electric, autonomous and hybrid vehicles.

The program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation, and will prepare you to enter the automotive repair field with an emphasis on emerging technologies found in electric and hybrid vehicles.

Upon completion of your degree, you will be prepared to diagnose and repair modern vehicles and their computerized systems, with a thorough understanding of the technologies associated with hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as advanced driver assistance systems and vehicle cybersecurity.

This program is offered by the Applied Technologies Department. Entering students must possess a valid New York State driver’s license and a professional tool set as prescribed by the department.
