Individual Studies

This associate in science (A.S.) degree allows you to choose coursework from a broad range of liberal arts and elective courses to meet your personal degree and transfer goals. The degree is flexible enough for you to tailor your courses based your areas of interest.

Many students use this degree to create a specific pathway to a selected transfer agreement at a four-year college or university.

Those completing the A.A. degree will have completed at least 30 credit hours of Liberal Arts coursework prior to graduation.

This program is offered by the Education and Social Sciences Department.

High School Equivalency Program (24-Credit Hour Program)

The High School Equivalency Program (24-Credit Hour Program) is designed to serve students who have not yet completed their high school diploma and who wish to pursue a college education. A student who has not earned a high school diploma may be issued a New York State High School Equivalency Diploma if they successfully completes a specific set of 24 college credits outlined in the college catalog. Successful applicants will be admitted to the Individual Studies program.

Transfer and Career Services and Resources

The Center for Careers and Transfer provides career resources and services and help in identifying your skills and interests and how they connect to career possibilities. Transfer counseling services are also available and a list of transfer agreements are posted.
