Policy on Sealants
If you wish to have sealants on you or your child's teeth, an examination of the mouth is necessary. The dentist on duty may be asked to make the final approval. Bite-wing x-rays are necessary to rule out any decay between the teeth. If your private dentist is recommending sealants, patients must have a written request via email from dental practice or on letterhead from their dental practice. The written request must include the patient’s name, tooth numbers to be sealed with DDS or RDH signature.
