College to Host Open House at HVCC North

Hudson Valley Community College will host an open house at its HVCC North extension center in Malta, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 24.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about financial aid, receive academic advisement, attend orientation sessions and learn more about course offerings at HVCC North this fall. Students already enrolled for fall may complete their academic placement testing during the event.

Those interested in attending Hudson Valley but who have not yet applied will have the opportunity to complete their application and receive instant admission to the college.

Any students who are completing their application for admission or taking an academic placement test are advised to bring a photo ID and a copy of their academic transcript.

Within its two state-of-the-art buildings - the Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies, known as TEC-SMART, and the STEM Education Center - HVCC North offers students access to education and career training in the highly growing fields of healthcare, STEM and skilled trades.

Coursework in the following programs can be completing almost entirely at HVCC North: Clean Energy Management; Electrical Construction and Maintenance; Electrical Engineering Technology-Electronics; Engineering Science; and Health Sciences certificate. Students can also take a verity of general education courses to meet degree requirements for many other Hudson Valley academic programs.
