MVP Health Care’s Ellen Sax Honored with Foundation’s Outstanding Philanthropist Award

The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation has named MVP Health Care Vice President for Community Engagement Ellen Sax as the 2023 recipient of its Outstanding Philanthropist Award. Sax received the award during the college's annual Leadership Donor Reception, held on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 at the Franklin Plaza in Troy.
The Outstanding Philanthropist Award is presented annually to an individual, couple, organization or family foundation that has shown exemplary leadership through charitable giving to Hudson Valley. Recipients promote the mission, vision and values of a community college education by facilitating access, opportunity and student success through philanthropy.

MVP takes immense pride in supporting local organizations through grant funding, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships, working in collaboration to foster thriving communities across its footprint.
MVP has had a long history of giving back to Hudson Valley Community College. The company has been a philanthropic partner to the college since 1996, and has continued to expand its contributions under Sax’s leadership. Most recently, the company established the MVP Community and Public Health Scholarship for Hudson Valley students. Sax and MVP have also been steadfast supporters of the college’s annual Gala, the annual U.W. Marx Golf Classic, and other scholarships and initiatives designed to help Hudson Valley students succeed.
