College to Announce Full Scholarships for Summer High School Students

50+ Courses and “Head Start” Programs to Help Students Affected by Pandemic

 Joined by the leadership of New York State’s Parent Teacher Association and Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools, Hudson Valley Community College will announce an unprecedented opportunity for local high school students and their families: all expenses – tuition, books and fees – associated with its more than 50 College in the High School courses offered this summer will be fully covered by a scholarship provided by the college.

Hudson Valley is making this offer to help rising 11th and 12th grade high school students get ahead and jump start their college education this summer. The college usually offers its College in the High School courses at a reduced tuition rate, but this is the first time it has completely covered the cost of those courses.

The college will also announce no-cost academic enrichment courses for high school students aimed at preparing incoming college freshmen with skills to take on college-level math and English composition.
