Chamber musicians – flutist Melanie Chirignan, pianist Dan Foster, and cellist Will Hayes – will present music composed entirely by women in a virtual concert offered free of charge by the Cultural Affairs Program at Hudson Valley Community College. The live-streamed event will be Thursday, Oct. 22 from noon to 1 p.m.
The program will include: Fanny Mendelssohn (1805-1847, Germany), Trio in d minor Op. 11; Hilary Tann (b. 1947, Wales), The Gardens of Anna Maria Luisa de Medici; Rhonda Larson (b. 1963, USA), Be Still My Soul; Amy Beach (1867-1944, USA), Pastorale and Caprice "The Water Sprites," Op. 90.
