The Alumni Archives display will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marvin Library Learning Commons, in celebration of the library’s 50th anniversary. Photographs, items and documents from the library's archives will be on view. Alumni and community members are invited to reminisce about the college, learn about its history and help identify people and events pictured in the archives. Additionally, a one-hour campus tour will depart from the library at 11:30 a.m. and include a stop at the new $14.5 million Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills (CAMS).

The 11th Annual Race Away Stigma 5K Race and Fun Walk works to fight the negative stigma associated with mental health concerns, which can be what stops many students from seeking help they may need. The race is free for Hudson Valley students, and open to the community for a small fee. Registration begins in front of Hudson Hall at 8:30 a.m. and the race begins at 10 a.m. Preregistration is available as well.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards Brunch will take place from 9 - 11 a.m. Saturday, in Hudson Valley's Bulmer Telecommunications Center, meeting rooms 2 and 3. Hudson Valley's Alumni Association hosts this brunch to recognize graduates who have made extraordinary contributions within their fields and our communities. This year's event will honor David J. Allard '75, Cynthia Doring Hollowood '77 and Malcolm S. Field '79. Attendance is limited to invited guests and registration is required.

A Tailgate Party and BBQ will be held at the picnic area by the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium from 12:30 - 2 p.m. Alumni, students, faculty and staff, and community members are invited to enjoy music, food and beverages prior to the day’s athletic events. From 2 - 4 p.m., a Homecoming Carnival will be held at the practice field, with caricatures, face painting, t-shirt give-a-ways, popcorn, snow cones, interactive field games, and inflatable activities including bounce houses and more, donated by the Tri-City ValleyCats.

This year’s homecoming features three athletic events. At 1 p.m., the Vikings tennis team will take the court against Mohawk Valley Community College. At 2 p.m., the Vikings women’s soccer team will face off against Erie Community College at the Outdoor Athletic Complex, followed by the Vikings men’s soccer team, which will take the field against Erie Community College at 3 p.m.
