Karen Paquette is New Human Resources Director

Karen Paquette, a human resources and operations professional, has been hired as the new Director of Human Resources for Hudson Valley Community College.
Paquette has expertise in a wide range of areas related to employee relations; recruitment/retention and performance; contract negotiations; and staff development.
Most recently, she was employed as a senior operations manager at General Electric's Wind Turbine Division in Schenectady where she managed more than 100 employees in Schenectady and at 23 remote locations in the United States and Canada. She was charged with directing recruitment, hiring, coaching and training as well as performance for all staff. Prior to that, she was employed in human resources leadership for 15 years at Durham School Services.
Paquette holds her PHR certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Capital Region Human Resource Association. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Seton Hall University and her M.S. in general administration from Central Michigan University.
