College Foundation Names Board of Directors for 2016

The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation has announced names of its 2016 Board of Directors, including officers: Frank Sarratori, of Loudonville, chairperson; Gordon Zuckerman '62, of Niskayuna, immediate past chairperson; Jerilee Beaudoin '92, of Troy, vice chairperson; Leslie King, of Troy, vice chairperson; Mark Mitchell '74, of Latham, treasurer; Kelly Klopfer, of Charlton, secretary; and Regina LaGatta '73, of East Greenbush, interim executive director.
Board members are Rich Amadon Jr. '87, of Delmar; Dan Aunkst '07, of Clifton Park; Anthony Carnevale '85, of Troy; Dan Casale '10, of Troy; Kenneth Grey, of Saratoga Springs; Andrea Hanley, of Schenectady; Sue Hansen '01, of Charlton; Cynthia Hollowood '77, of Saratoga Springs; Steven Kasselman '11, of Saratoga Springs; Cory Martin '97, of Niskayuna; Angelica Morris '00, of Schenectady; Jen Robbins, of Charlton; Charles "Chat" Robinson, of Wynantskill; Todd Silaika '90, of Rexford; and James Walsh '61, of Troy.
"The staff of the Foundation works closely with this devoted Board of Directors on a daily basis. We see their efforts paying off in so many ways for the benefit of the college and its students. We cannot thank the board enough for its support," said LaGatta.
The Foundation is an independent, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation administered by a board of directors composed of community leaders and Foundation staff. While maintaining its funds apart from those of the college, it exists solely for charitable and educational purposes. It seeks external resources and grants to promote the college's educational programs and services and to enhance its institutional goals and objectives.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
