Regina Scarano LaGatta '73 Named Interim Executive Director of College Foundation

Hudson Valley Community College has named Regina Scarano LaGatta interim executive director of the college's Foundation.
LaGatta formerly served as vice president for college advancement and executive director of the Foundation at SUNY Cobleskill, where she was a member of the chancellor's strategic planning committee and the executive committee for SUNY Advancement. She also was the deputy executive officer to the president of the Capital District YMCA for ten years, and previously served as director of events and conferencing at Hudson Valley.
In this new position, LaGatta will continue developing corporate, community and alumni relations to raise visibility and support of student scholarships and academic programs.
"Regina LaGatta's expertise in fundraising and passion for development, coupled with her longevity and skill in leading fundraising organizations, allows for a seamless transition during this vital time for the organization," said President Drew Matonak, Hudson Valley Community College president and foundation board chairperson. "As the Foundation continues to raise funds for the college's students and continues its strategic planning process, Regina will bring an unmatched depth of knowledge and determination to the process."
LaGatta received an associate degree from Hudson Valley Community College in 1973, a bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport and a master's from The College of St. Rose.
