Advanced Manufacturing

The college's Office of Workforce Development offers Advanced Manufacturing courses for those preparing for a new job, promotion or looking to update their skills.

How to Register

  • Register online by selecting "Add to Cart" on the desired course(s) and select "Cart" at the bottom of the page when you are ready to process your registration.
    • The “Seats Left” information is updated every half hour and when you checkout.

NOTE:  Individuals enrolling in on-campus classes must follow the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for students and should submit the COVID-19 Vaccination Documentation Form. Exemptions to these requirements may be requested based on either religious conviction or health reasons by submitting the appropriate Health Services form.

Course Offerings

Beginner 3D Printing with AutoCAD

This instructor-led beginner course will allow students to work on the Windows-based Auto-CAD program to create 3D models that can be used in the 3D printing process. Upon completion of this class, students will have a better understanding of this technology and how CAD programs work with the 3D printing process.

Training topics and objectives include:

Prerequisites: Minimum 10th grade reading and math skills; computer skills, including familiarity with navigating the Windows operating system; familiarity with AutoCAD will be helpful but not required

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

The Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) course is designed as an overview of the topics relating to the application and understanding of GD&T. Suitable for team members at all levels, including engineers, designers, quality personnel and production staff, the course is based on the current ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard.

The following critical GD&T topic areas will be covered:

Welding Basics

This 32-hour non-credit course provides a basic introduction to shielded metal arc welding. Upon successful completion, students will be issued a certificate. By incorporating virtual reality welders in the program, students learn the required skills more quickly compared to traditional methods.
